42 Taking a Turn for the Better

Thank you for all the Birthday Love yesterday. Here's to 42! I am a very transparent person, in doing so I hope to help others who may be struggling. I hope to inspire and push others to be the best version of themselves. Owning it, Accepting it and taking Action are the key to you living your best life. Change takes action. I will tell you it may not always be easy, but it will be worth it.

Something happens to women when they reach their 40's. I'm not just talking about their metabolism slowing down, more wrinkles, or needing more sleep. I'm talking about the change that you really want in your life and are scared to try. You're scared because you don't want to fail. Who cares, if you stumble a bit, at least you are recognizing you want more for your life. It's pretty remarkable if you think about it. If you had the right tools to navigate your life better the possibilities are endless. The anxiety, depression, will be at a minimum and the clarity you gain by taking your life back in control is what we all deserve in this lifetime.

If I Knew Then What I Know Now, I will say there are things I would change, a lot of things! I can honestly say now that I'm okay with that now. We all make mistakes. No one is perfect and people who act like it is, have more problems than any of us. I have accepted my past and put it behind me. It does not define me. It's the past and that's where it stays. Today, Living in the Present Moment is what matters. TODAY.

I have always said, everything happens for a reason and I truly believe that. Like, for instance, why are you reading this?!?! Most likely because you're looking for more out of your life. The experiences that have happened throughout our lives are all part of the journey and I'm grateful for each and every experience. It has made me the person I am today and put me right where I'm supposed to be. I can honestly look at myself in the mirror daily and know I'm trying to be the best version of myself. Do I have bad days? Sure of course I do, we all do! It's how you handle the bad days that matter most. When you're able to handle situations better than your old self would have, that is something to be proud of. Stop having all these expectations. Like my Grandfather always said, Keep it Simple Stupid. Everyday above ground is a day to be grateful for. God has did this for me and I want to help our Community in anyway I possibly can. Please know there is always hope. Don't hesitate to ask for help. You won't regret it. You deserve to live your best life. Let's Go 2023! Thank you again for all the Birthday messages! You guys are so kind! #MentalHealth #SoberLiving #MentalHealthAwareness #StrongerTogether
