Recovery Wellness Movement. My husband started making Kombucha the past couple of months and he has really perfected his Brew. It’s been quite the hit with our family and friends. We're thinking...Paradis Brew. Before you ask, no it doesn’t have alcohol in it! Kombucha is a tea with Probiotic & Enzymes that helps your digestion, rids your body of toxins, and boosts your energy. I guess I was spending too much money on the Buch so he decided to make it a hobby. I thought he’d appreciate the effort of me finding other options with my sobriety. I said, hey at least I’m NOT spending it on alcohol. Between the Kombucha drinks and Sparkling waters we decided to look at ways to save some money.
We don’t understand why Non-Alcoholic Beverages are so expensive, especially in Restaurants. It’s kinda like we’re being punished for being SOBER. We need more options! We recently went to a concert and the only Non-Alcoholic beverage offered was soda or lemonade. I would have loved a Kombucha or Sparkling water while listening to the Concert. I love that Lib's Grill of Bel Air has a Mocktail drink Menu. We hope to start seeing more reasonably priced Mocktail drink Menus throughout the Community. While vacationing this past Summer some of the Restaurants just charged me for a soda, when I asked for a Club Soda with a splash of Grapefruit. We thought that was so KIND. We’re still fun even though we’re sober, just in case you didn’t get the memo.
We are looking to have a positive impact in the Community with people in Recovery. I’m so excited to see what the future brings. Recovery has opened my mind to things I could have never imagined. So clear headed and grateful. I believe it’s all part of God’s Plan. I don’t believe in coincidences. I believe everything happens for a reason. After talking with a friend at the gym this morning I truly believe God is listening to my prayers. Babe, thank you for always supporting me especially, through my sobriety. I’m grateful for you listening to my ideas to make recovery a priority throughout our Community.
