Welcome To Kerry Paradis Photography’s New Website!

Thanks for stopping by my new and improved website! I'm always looking for new ways to display my work and let the people of the Bel Air area see exactly what I'm up to.

At my photo studio, I'm dedicated to finding that perfect shot that you

’ll want to hang on your wall for years. That’s why I specialize in some of the most important moments in life, those that you want to be reminded of every day as you pass by them in your home or look at them on your work desk. And in every case, it’s so much mor

e than just raising a camera and clicking a button. Let’s take a look at some of our most popular services and the challenges that have to be overcome.

Family portraits, once regulated to the dark backgrounds of a dark studio, have become much more joyous in recent decades. Today they’re often outdoors and in much more casual clothing, filled with laughter and a lot of family interaction. Why not take a walk and invite a professional photographer along so that she can capture that perfect family portrait that you’ll cherish for decades?

Of course, I can also provide excellent studio photography with our dozens of background. No matter what, I'm going to make sure to get the best out of every family member in attendance.

At first you might think that newborn photography is easy. Wait for the child to fall asleep, put him or her in a basket, and press the shutter release. Well, it’s not quite that simple! Babies can be cranky, and they can’t tell you exactly what’s wrong. And while most people get cranky at the end of a day or just before a meal, babies aren’t so accommodating. Of course, some will wail unless they’re being held. In the wrong hands, this can be a recipe for a long photo session.

That’s where a professional newborn photographer comes in. I know the tricks that can make a baby happy even when they’re in a strange environment like our portrait studio. While the final newborn portraits are some of the most striking (and certainly cutest) images we produce, getting there isn’t always easy.

Wedding photography is one of the most difficult types of photography there is. The entire day is taxing on everyone, and nearly everything that happens only happens once. The first kiss only happens once, the exchanging of the rings only happens once. The turn from the officiator to the guests, the walk down the aisle, and the father-daughter dance all only happen once. A photographer who misses any of these due to a technical problem or a lapse in attention isn’t going to be a wedding photography for long!

Of course, before the wedding comes the engagement photos. Engagement photos are great fun, because I get to know the engaged couple and learn a bit more about their personality, which I'm always trying to perfectly capture. Wedding receptions, family portraits, and newborn photography often include kids who would rather be doing something...or anything!...else. That’s why engagement photos can be relaxing, because everyone there is in comfortable clothes and is interested in looking as good as possible. They’re with the one they want to be with, and that goes a long way to drawing out each person’s personality.

No matter why you need a professional photographer, it’s important to find one with whom you can interact in the most friendly and professional manner. You’ll also want one who can make the most of any situation and accommodate, whether it’s raining on your wedding day or you simply have a cranky kid. I am ready to capture those treasured moments, so contact me today!

I was born and raised in Perry hall (Baltimore area) and have been living in Harford County, Maryland for close to 15 years. I have two daughters that keep me very busy and a very understanding husband that helps keep me sane J I love all kinds of photography including Newborns, Weddings and Family. For the past several years I performed shoots out of my house, but recently opened a photography studio in Joppa, Maryland next to the “The Great Hall” Wedding Venue at the Millstad. My studio allows the perfect lighting to capture the best pictures and it is surrounded by 40 acres of property that is used by a ballet studio and gymnastics facility. There are plenty of places to photograph! I also have some favorite beautiful spots in the area that I like to photograph at as well. Whether you are looking to capture the first days of your baby’s life, the important times with your family, Senior Portraits for your High School Graduation, or walking down the aisle on your special wedding day, I would love for you to consider me! I do not take any of my business for granted and feel blessed to do what I love for my career. I invite you to check out my website and subscribe to my email list for exclusive discounts and updates. I try and write these blogs in a way that might answer some questions you may have. If you ever have any ideas for my blog, shoot me an email and I will be happy to see what I can do.
